- Black Myth: Wukong will be released in August.
- The PlayStation Store page of the game has already gone live, suggesting pre-orders will be made available soon.
- Pre-orders are expected to go live as early as this month.
Black Myth: Wukong is arguably the most exciting Souls-like in 2024. With years of built-up excitement through sheer scale and combat variety on display in past trailers, Chinese developer Game Science has kept audiences buzzing for the launch.
Recent footage of the game shown during Gamescom was just as exciting, and it seems gamers will soon be able to buy it for themselves. Black Myth: Wukong’s PlayStation Store page has just gone live, and the game is expected to be put on pre-orders soon.
Why it matters: PlayStation Store pages are usually launched once a game is ready to be pre-ordered, so the same trend should be followed in this case.
As seen above, Black Myth: Wukong cannot be purchased for now. However, a leaker already claimed that pre-orders would open up soon.
With the PlayStation Store page now up, there is little doubt that Game Science will allow audiences to pre-purchase the game soon. This also suggests that the game will not face another delay.
The Souls-like was initially set to arrive last year. However, with a more ambitious production based on Unreal Engine 5, the team was forced to delay it to 2024. Fortunately, the game is due for launch in just four months.
Black Myth: Wukong preorders may open very soon.

According to the leaker, pre-orders will be available by the end of this month at the latest. This statement came before the PlayStation Store was updated with Black Myth: Wukong.
Black Myth: Wukong dodged the plethora of Souls-likes launched last year. However, it will now launch in a market that has already seen games like Lies of P, Remnant 2, and more.
Audiences now expect the genre to deliver bigger and better battles, complex-level design, and deep combat systems. Based on the gameplay footage, all these elements are present in Black Myth: Wukong.
However, it remains to be seen if the team will measure up to the benchmark established by FromSoftware itself after its Game of the Year winning Elden Ring.
