Story Highlight
  • A new report suggests that the rumoured Batman Beyond Game May Be A PlayStation Exclusive.
  • The game will serve as a foundation for a planned trilogy.
  • Earlier rumours reiterate Batman Beyond’s exclusivity for PlayStation.

Just recently, it was reported that Rocksteady is reviving their cancelled Batman Beyond project coming from Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s failure.

According to leaker Lunatic Ignus, Batman Beyond will be part of a trilogy exclusive to PlayStation and PC.

Why it matters: While Xbox has taken the publisher route and is bringing its game to other platforms, PlayStation might not join the same path, according to what reports suggest.

The first game will serve as a foundation for an upcoming trilogy. This would be quite similar to the Arkham trilogy.

Last year, a similar report was covered by reliable insider Shpeshal Nick, stating that a new Batman game was under development by Rocksteady, with Sony trying to secure some kind of exclusivity for the title

The exclusivity might mean a partnership since Warner Bros. isn’t a part of Sony. Batman Beyond is speculated to be released on the PS6 since reports suggest the title was revived after 2024.

This also means that the title will probably be available on PC on day one unless they want to miss out on a huge chunk of revenue.

The game will be set in a futuristic timeline, where Terry McGinnis will utilize the latest technology for detective cases. Bruce Wayne will also be featured in the game and will act as a mentor to the younger Batman.
