Armored Core 6 Supports 60FPS On PS5 And Xbox Series S|X

Up To 1440p With 60FPS On Xbox Series S!

FromSoftware’s latest creation, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, is about to take center stage in the gaming world. In the days leading up to the launch, the developer has confirmed a 60FPS target for all consoles.

FromSoftware’s latest information also provides details about resolution targets for all platforms, including the PS5 and Xbox Series S|X.

Why it matters: 60FPS is standard across nearly every major game release. FromSoftware’s history with poor performance did not inspire much confidence, but Armored Core 6 appears to be taking its frame rate seriously.

The Xbox Series X and PS5 versions of Armored Core 6 offer the best experience on consoles.

The consoles provide outstanding performance with a maximum resolution of 3840×2160 and a silky-smooth 60 FPS target. Although there might be some variations in resolution and frame rates, the game is expected to run well on high-end consoles.

The Xbox Series S is no slouch either, providing a commendable 2560×1440 maximum resolution and a 60 FPS target. While it may not match the performance of stronger consoles, these are respectable targets for this class of hardware.

Moreover, ray tracing, a technology known for its ability to render lifelike lighting and reflections, is available in the Garage mode on the Xbox Series X|S and PS5. This should further enhance the game’s visuals.

Unsurprisingly, the last generation consoles target 30FPS and variable resolutions depending on the consoles, with the most capable Xbox One X aiming for 3840×2160.

The PC version of the game sets new standards for FromSoftware, supporting frame rates of up to an astonishing 120 FPS.

This is a significant leap forward, marking a first for FromSoftware. Additionally, players can enjoy crystal-clear visuals with a 3840×2160 resolution thanks to capable hardware found in modern gaming PCs.

This should ensure that every detail is crisp and immersive. Users looking to take Armored Core 6 on the go can also enjoy the fast-paced mech combat on the Steam Deck.
