Around 3.5 Million Players Have Unlocked All The Achievements.

Story Highlight
  • Around 10 million people have spent at least 100 hours playing Elden Ring.
  • An impressive 3.5 million gamers have earned every trophy in the RPG across Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.
  • Four years on, the title is still bringing in substantial revenue, selling 2 million copies this year.

As one of the most defining games released this decade, Elden Ring doesn’t really need an introduction. The FromSoftware RPG has become one of the most critically acclaimed titles in history, winning the most GOTY awards ever before being overtaken by Expedition 33 this year.

On the sales front, the franchise has gone on to sell over 50 million copies around the globe, with Elden Ring alone accounting for more than 30 million shipments. The RPG has survived in the gaming zeitgeist thanks to its replayability, and a new study has revealed that one-fourth of the players have put in more than 100 hours.

Why it matters: Elden Ring is arguably one of the most impressive works in the gaming medium, and no stat lends more credence to this fact than 10 million players spending more than 100 hours in the game.

According to data from Alinea Analytics, Elden Ring has sold more than 36 million copies worldwide, with a whopping 9.8 million users playing the game for more than 100 hours. The analyst revealed that 3.5 million people across all platforms have attained every trophy and achievement in the RPG.

10.9% of Elden Ring buyers on PlayStation have earned the Platinum trophy, with 10.5% of Steam users also unlocking every achievement available. The Xbox numbers, on the other hand, are a little disappointing, as only 3.9% of Xbox users have unlocked every achievement in the game.

Regardless, as evident from the hours invested by 10 million gamers, Elden Ring has turned out to be an evergreen success for Bandai Namco, selling an impressive 2 million copies in 2026 and bringing in $110 million in revenue four years after its initial release.

Elden Ring Franchise 50 Million
The Franchise has sold 50 million copies despite only starting in 2022.

If Elden Ring wasn’t already pinned down as one of the most influential games of this century, 25% of its player base investing more than 100 hours certainly puts it in the generational category. With a movie set to release in 2028, the RPG is only going to get more appreciation moving forward.
