- An Xbox survey asked about stronger exclusivity for major franchises.
- Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Doom, Minecraft, and more were among the gaming IPs mentioned as potential exclusivity targets in the surveys.
- The surveys do not confirm Microsoft’s future plans, but they show that the company is testing player sentiment.
Xbox recently launched its first major exclusive after briefly attempting a multiplatform strategy. Following Gears of War: E-Day, the gaming giant plans to continue experimenting with exclusives further.
However, a recent survey suggests Xbox’s exclusivity goals are much broader and may soon expand to most of its first-party IPs.
Why it matters: Following Asha Sharma’s arrival as the Xbox CEO, exclusivity has become a focal point of discussion regarding the gaming giant’s future.

As per Windows Central, a recent survey from Microsoft was sent out to Xbox insiders this week, which mentioned exclusivity for all Xbox titles but Call of Duty.
The survey specifically asked gamers to share their thoughts on potential exclusivity for Minecraft. Moreover, Microsoft asked where gamers would play Minecraft if it went exclusive in the future.
Similar questions were asked about games like The Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout, Doom, and Physint. While the survey doesn’t necessarily confirm anything, a game like Physint being mentioned here does suggest Xbox is at least considering this option.

Of course, this isn’t the first time a brand has used a survey to gauge audience interest in a particular direction or decision. It will be interesting to see, then, whether Xbox ends up going all in on exclusivity in the future.
