By now, it’s no secret that GTA 6 is doing a lot of incredible things. In particular, the game’s NPCs are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in gaming, with Rockstar Games spending plenty of time on this aspect of the game alone.
In fact, the studio dedicated an entire team to GTA 6’s NPCs.
Why it matters: Among impressive GTA 6 details like the game’s weather systems, wanted updates, and more, the NPC variety and behavior have many gamers more excited than anything else.
Rockstar’s open worlds have always been packed with small details, but GTA 6 is taking that idea even further. According to Rockstar Games, the studio had entire teams dedicated to writing pedestrian dialogue and background chatter for the game.
The team consists of dialogue writers from LA collaborating with advertising and comedy writers from New York, London, etc. Rockstar Games’ Rupert Humphries says that this team does not see this part of the game as background chatter.
Instead, the studio aimed to integrate NPC dialogue into the core GTA 6 experience.
It’s a team from all sorts of backgrounds and walks of life, but we all share a sense of humor and a desire to have fun with the ridiculousness of humans and the media and advertising.
All of this should lead to one of gaming’s most lively worlds when GTA 6 launches later next month.
