- Many women are against their significant others playing GTA 6.
- It seems some women are jealous of Lucia, which is why they are prohibiting their partners from the game.
- Lucia plays a key role in the game and has already attracted a lot of attention from Rockstar Games’ marketing material.
Following the massive round of GTA 6 marketing, the game has exploded in popularity. Pre-orders are through the roof, and seemingly everyone is interested in the title on some level.
As fans prepare to play the game on November 19, some women have turned against the game. They are now prohibiting their partners from playing GTA 6.
Why it matters: GTA 6 is expected to be the biggest entertainment product this year. The game is already so big that it has threatened the Hollywood box office.

Like past Rockstar Games releases, GTA 6 will undoubtedly be controversial at release, but it has fallen into an unexpected discourse.
Over on TikTok, multiple women have made videos speaking out against GTA 6. They claim that their partners will not be allowed to play the game, while urging other women to do the same.
TikTok creator Shelby Haas is one such creator who does not like the idea of her fiancé playing GTA 6. She doesn’t seem too fond of players having to maintain a relationship with Lucia, among other things.
In no way is my fiancé playing GTA 6.
Other TikTok creators have made similar videos, speaking out against the game. However, some have also used the trend to poke fun at the notion of some women not wanting their partners to play GTA 6.

Of course, the good news is that Rockstar Games has confirmed GTA 6’s relationship system is optional. Players are free to ignore it if they want, and this is also not the first time a game has featured such a character dynamic for its leads.
What are your thoughts on how some women feel about the game? Let’s discuss below.
