- Warhorse has filed for a trademark for the next Kingdom Come title with the EUIPO.
- The company trademarked the name Kingdom Come Salvation for the next adventure title.
- It is reportedly expected to have multiplayer elements of some kind, as per the wording.
Warhorse Studios currently has its hands tied with two massive projects: the next Kingdom Come title and a $100 million budget Lord of the Rings RPG set in Middle-Earth. While fan expectations have been at an all-time high, there hasn’t been any news in recent months.
The studio has now filed for a trademark with the EUIPO for its next Kingdom Come entry, titled ‘Kingdom Come Salvation.’ The trademark lists Warhorse as the owner, and the font for the name is also the same as the first two entries.
Why it matters: The new trademark being filed suggests that the development of the next Kingdom Come title is coming along nicely. However, it’s still unclear whether the third game will be a direct follow-up of the first two or a spin-off of some kind.
As reported by ThePhrasemaker, the trademark from EUIPO uses the standard wording found for AAA games. It also mentions ‘entertainment services for matching users with computer games,’ which seems to imply multiplayer elements.
Such a statement usually would not have been mentioned if the studio only planned a single-player experience. Therefore, we might see a co-op or multiplayer mode that aims to increase the longevity of the third installment.
The third installment may be a multiplayer spin-off that reuses the assets of KCD2, which would explain the parallel development with the LOTR RPG.
Regardless, fans argue that a mainline next game could be set during the Hussite Wars period, which devastated Bohemia nearly 30 years after the events of KCD2.

The timing for the trademark also suggests that Warhorse’s next Kingdom Come adventure is much further in development than we thought. Rumors have suggested a release date as early as 2027, so the studio might reveal official details later this year.
Do you think the next Kingdom Come title will have some sort of multiplayer or co-op mode? Would you like to see such an addition in a predominantly single-player IP? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.
