- Ubisoft has reportedly generated $1 million from AC Black Flag Resynced DLCs.
- There was a huge backlash to DLCs costing $90 when the title released.
- The game overall surpassed 2 million sales in just its first day of launch.
Ubisoft has finally gotten a rare win with the launch of the Black Flag Remake. The title has been confirmed to have sold over 2 million copies in just a day and also became the first game in the franchise to surpass 100K concurrent players on Steam.
However, fans did have a complaint, as the title is riddled with DLCs costing $90. But despite the uproar, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has generated nearly $1 million from the microtransactions alone.
Why it matters: Ubisoft is often criticized for adding DLCs in its games, but instead of boycotting, fans call them out and then proceed to spend money on the in-game items, which pushes the studio to keep adding them.

Alina Analytics has revealed that Black Flag Resynced has already generated over $1 million from its microtransactions. People who had the $70 Premium Edition seem to be also buying them despite the uproar.
In the overall revenue figures, $1 million might not sound like too much, but this is alone from the in-game stuff that players have bought on top of the title. This will encourage Ubisoft to keep adding them in the future.

The company has a track record of adding DLCs, and fans buying them. What makes everything so weird is the initial complaints fans always have, but in the end they always end up spending big money on microtransactions.
Interestingly, Ubisoft has a point in its older financial report that microtransactions make the experience much more fun. In its latest report, it has retracted the statement, but still adds them to all releases.
