- Sony has announced that the next State of Play will take place on June 2.
- It will give us an extended look at Marvel’s Wolverine and many other reveals.
- The event will be over an hour long and will be broadcast live on YouTube and Twitch.
A new State of Play has been rumored for quite some time, with many anticipating it would happen in May. However, now Sony has officially revealed the exact date for the next event, and it’ll be packed with reveals and announcements.
The next State of Play has been set for June 2 and will feature a detailed look at Marvel’s Wolverine gameplay. The event will span more than 1 hour and will also include news and updates from top studios around the world.
Why it matters: Sony currently has a bunch of games either announced or rumored to be in development, which fans are looking forward to. So, this new event could give us our first look at some of those titles.

The State of Play will be held on June 2 at 2 PM PT/5 PM ET, and as usual, will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch. Highlighting the show will be Insomniac’s Marvel’s Wolverine, which is set to release later this year.
Now, we can make a rough guess as to what else could be showcased. We know that Naughty Dog’s Intergalacitc: The Heretic Prophet is currently in active development, and we haven’t heard much of it since the announcement.

That might get a first proper look. Some rumors have also claimed that the much-anticipated Hogwarts Legacy sequel could also be announced at the State of Play. But with these events, it is always better to manage expectations.
