- AMD’s newly launched flagship Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 is outselling every Intel processor.
- All of the top 10 best-sellers on Amazon are AMD, with no Intel chip in sight.
- Dominating the list are AMD’s popular X3D processors with 3D V-cache tech.
AMD has been crushing in the CPU department for quite some time now. Especially for gamers, the X3D chips with 3D V-cache are a go-to. And the lead over Intel is quite apparent from the Amazon top sellers list.
Even with its hefty price tag, the newly released AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 is outselling every Intel processor on Amazon. In fact, Team Red’s X3D processors heavily dominate the top 10 sellers on the platform.
Why it matters: While Intel is still the leading platform on Steam, AMD is catching up really fast, and in recent years has seen incredible leaps in market share, and might even overtake Team Blue soon.

Reviews have shown that Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 isn’t a big upgrade over its predecessor, and still, that hasn’t stopped people from upgrading. Absence of any Intel CPU in the top 10 shows how big a grip AMD has on the market.
Leading the top-sellers is the budget Ryzen 5 5500, which is still a top choice for budget PCs, after the return of AM4’s popularity due to surging memory prices. However, 50% of the top 10 are notably X3D processors.

Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the top choice for most people, based on how great its performance is for the price. Even the company’s 2nd most powerful chip, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, is among the top 5 sellers on Amazon’s list.
This shows a worrying trend for Intel that seems to be getting worse with time. Not even a budget processor is in the top sellers, which doesn’t give the company a good look, and they will be hoping to change that.
