The Metro franchise is widely regarded for its atmospheric horror and immersive survival horror gameplay. Now, rumors of a new entry in the series had been circulating for quite a while, and the title is finally official, and the first look is coming soon.

Xbox and 4A have announced that Metro 2039 will get its first look on April 16 at 10 am Pacific time. This is the 4th mainline entry in the popular franchise by 4A Games, which will build on all the previous entries.

Why it matters: A Metro game with current-gen capabilities surely sounds great. Due to the graphical capabilities we have today, the atmosphere has the potential to outshine all of the games in the franchise.

Xbox announced its First Look at Metro 2039 for April 16. The rumors of the titles began a couple of weeks ago, when an insider leaked them. Now, we finally have a confirmation with the first look coming really soon.

It is hard to currently guess what the plot of the game will be. But since it’ll be a direct sequel, we can expect it to be a continuation and connect to the previous game. We might even see some characters return.
