The Black Myth: Wukong Twitter account recently confirmed a new update for the game.  According to Game Science, this update is set to arrive on October 13 and will target performance optimizations.

On PS5, this patch will require over 93.5GB of storage. Game Science also states that a gradual rollout is expected for all platforms after the October 13 release date. Besides the performance optimization improvements, the update promises bug fixes.

Although not much else is known at the moment, fans can expect to find out more tomorrow. For context, Black Myth: Wukong utilized frame generation to reach 60FPS on consoles, delivering mixed results.

Because it was one of the more intensive Unreal Engine 5 games last year, it will be interesting to see how much of a difference this update makes on consoles.
