Hideo Kojima has shared a slew of new information regarding the future of Kojima Productions recently. In addition to trailers for the Death Stranding anime and OD, the iconic developer has shared new details on Physint.
Kojima Productions has also shown what next-gen visuals on the PS6 could look like.
Why it matters: Fans worldwide are excited about Physint due to the similarities between this IP and Metal Gear Solid, with the veteran developer returning to the roots of espionage action.
Discussing Physint, Hideo Kojima confirmed that actors like Don Lee, Charlee Fraser, and Minami Hamabe would be part of the game.
He then showed an in-engine CGI render of Miname Hamabe, portraying how detailed Physint’s recreations of these actors aim to be. According to Kojima, this shot is more proof-of-concept for future technology.
Moreover, Physint’s release is at least 5 years away, so the game is expected to target PS6 hardware. This is why Hideo Kojima’s vision for the game takes PlayStation’s upcoming hardware into account, with this demo highlighting what next-gen graphics on the PS6 could look like.
The developer also noted that in-game visuals would still differ from the showcased demo. However, the studio is certainly shooting for the sky as it continues to push visual technology and storytelling further.
Moving forward, the team will pursue further groundbreaking innovation and technical developments.
Death Stranding 2 already impressed with its visuals on multiple fronts, but it seems Kojima Productions is far from finished. If the small teaser is anything to go by, Physint will serve as yet another mind-blowing visual experience for the fans.
