- Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s second DLC, Legacy of the Forge, will be shown at Gamescom 2025.
- The DLC release is also expected soon after the event, with a release date potentially being confirmed at the event.
- The expansion will focus on exploring Henry’s past and rebuilding an abandoned forge to expand the blacksmithing feature.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was a successful sequel, but not without bouts of controversy due to DEI elements. While the RPG has mostly faded from the spotlight after titles like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launched, it is still receiving new content via DLCs and updates.
Now, Warhorse Studios PR manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling has confirmed that the game will appear at Gamescom this year. The developers will show the second DLC, Legacy of the Forge, alongside many details that players have been waiting for.
Why it matters: Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s first DLC performed exceptionally well, just like the main game, so fans are holding even higher expectations for the upcoming expansion since it will explore Henry’s background.
On Twitter, Tobias clarifies that ‘plenty of fresh news’ will be revealed for the game’s second DLC, which is expected to focus on rebuilding an abandoned forge and exploring the backstory of Henry’s adoptive father, Martin.
The studio will expand upon the blacksmithing experience. Introduction to other new features is also expected at Gamescom, which will be added in Legacy of the Forge.
Tobias also confirms that the DLC will launch soon after the event; an exact release date might be revealed at Gamescom.
Gamescom 2025 will take place from August 20 to 24, kicked off by Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19.
Regardless, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 boasts a positive rating across all platforms, so a voice actor is even expecting the RPG to win GOTY this year.
