- AMD’s RX 9070 XT GPU launch is available in ample stock throughout retailers.
- Micro Center alone reports 440 units of the RX 9070 XT and 170 of the base RX 9070, a stark contrast to Nvidia’s limited RTX 50-series launch.
- While the card is widely available at MSRP, some retailers have already begun price hikes, making now the best time to buy before potential tariff increases.
AMD’s RDNA 4 GPU lineup is shaping up to be its best release in years, with a competitive price tag with a good trade for its performance.
With the mid-range GPU finally released, its stock appears to be in abundance. Multiple retailers across the U.S. have reported ample stock of cards, with one store holding hundreds of units.
Why it matters: Unlike previous GPU launches plagued by shortages and scalping, the RX 9070 XT seems readily available, reducing concerns about scalping.

Micro Center’s Illinois store has reported 440 units of the RX 9070 XT in stock, alongside 170 units of the base RX 9070. This marks a significant improvement compared to Nvidia’s RTX 50-series launch, which was considered a paper launch.
For context, the same Illinois store had only seven RTX 5090 units and just ten RTX 5070 units available at launch.
Beyond Micro Center, Newegg has also received shipments, though exact figures remain unknown. However, from what we can see in the pictures, securing an RX 9070 XT should not be difficult.
While the GPU is launching at its MSRP, not all retailers are adhering to the official pricing. Some listings have already surged to almost $829.99 despite the card being widely available.
Reports also indicate that certain retailers offering MSRP pricing may raise their prices once the initial stock sells out. With tariffs increasing soon, GPUs, in general, could see a price surge, making right now the best time to get your hands on the RX 9070 cards.
