In other news, the company seems to be working on one more variant to top off the RX 9070 family. Latest reports suggest the RX 9070 XTX will be the highest-tier variant, coming with a whopping 32GB of VRAM.
Why it matters: Nvidia offers the same amount of VRAM with the RTX 5090. Other than the flagship Blackwell offering, no other mainstream graphics card sports this much memory.

Benchlife, which has a reliable track record, says that a Navi 48-based graphics card with 32GB of GDDR6X memory is in the works. For reference, Navi 48 is the same chip used in the RX 9070 XT.
Users on the Chiphell forum suggest this offering will be dubbed the RX 9070 XTX, and a reliable leaker on X has teased a similar naming scheme. This GPU is believed to mainly serve AI users who require more memory than most gamers.
If true, the RX 9070 XTX will likely become a relatively budget-friendly productivity-focused option for professionals exploring AI-related tasks.
As the rumors continue to pick up the pace, the gaming giant is expected to officially share details on Radeon’s upcoming products on February 28, followed by the launch on March 6.
The mystery 32GB variant is unlikely to show up at this event, though AMD could offer a small teaser of its future plans during the event.
