Suggests A Polished Release Surpassing It's Predecessor In Every Way!

Story Highlight
  • Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 early previews suggest a polished port that improves on its predecessor.
  • Many media outlets have praised the title and the new storyline featuring Henry of Skaltiz as a returning protagonist.
  • The Game runs well even on the Steam Deck.

Studio Warhorse’s return to the 15th century Bohemia looks just as amazing, if not better, with Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. With a little less than a month from its launch, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of 2025, a massive feat for an independent studio.

Early previews of the game have now suggested a polished and decent medieval RPG that strikes a perfect balance between realism and immersive storytelling.

Why It Matters: The original Kingdom Come Deliverance has gained considerable popularity among gamers due to its realistic 15th-century Bohemian setting. Fans had high hopes for a sequel, and Warhorse Studio surpassed everyone’s expectations.

Many media outlets have had the chance to play Kingdom Come Deliverance before it releases next month on February 4. They have quite a few nice things to say about the game.

For a franchise that rose to popularity because of its jaggedy, rough gameplay full of bugs, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 plays out quite decent with less-than-notable bugs. Moreover, the world is more interactive thanks to the game’s AI and, just as ridiculous, typical 15th-century folks judging others based on their social status.

The game seems fairly optimised, and the Steam Deck can run it surprisingly well.

It expands the open map and offers stunning visuals that are a sight to behold. There is plenty of freedom with the sequel, providing the potential to play it for hundreds of hours.

Warhorse has taken everything from the first game that I loved and improved upon it immeasurably – an evolution indeed

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 massively improves upon the janky first-person perspective, which is unusual for an RPG but sets it apart from its competitors.

The audio is more refined this time, and the combat has greatly improved but toned down partially to make the game more appealing to a wider audience.
