  • The game is now available to pre-order and has instantly become Steam’s best-selling title.
  • It will also be available on Game Pass from the beginning.

Activision and Xbox have unloaded all kinds of Black Ops 6 information today. While the excitement for this Call of Duty was already high, this promotional campaign has instantly made it Steam’s #1 best-selling title.

Why it matters: Call of Duty always tops the best-sellers charts each year. However, this year’s entry is different since it will be launching on a subscription service from the very beginning.

According to Steam, Black Ops 6 has just shot up the Steam best-sellers charts.

During the Xbox Games Showcase, Treyarch debuted a new campaign trailer for the game. Following this showcase, Microsoft shifted gears to the Call of Duty Direct, which revealed more details on the multiplayer and zombies.

All three modes seem equally exciting this year. The multiplayer is set to be as thrilling as ever, thanks to new additions like revamped movement and returning favorites like Nuketown.

Elsewhere, the campaign promises an intense narrative exploring the dark secrets of the Gulf War. It also highlights familiar characters like Woods as Treyarch pays homage to the IP’s legacy.

In terms of zombies, Black Ops 6 is finally returning to a classic round-based approach. Therefore, all of this has given fans enough reason to go ahead and pre-order the latest Call of Duty in droves.

The interesting part here is that many doubted Black Ops 6’s ability to live up to its predecessors because of Game Pass. We were always certain Call of Duty would not be held back by the subscription, and this appears to have been the case.

Black Ops 6 officially releases on October 25. While the data above shows figures for Steam alone, Call of Duty has historically been a best-seller on all console platforms. Therefore, it is safe to assume that Activision has another huge release on its hands.
