Mortal Kombat 1 Shows Gory First Look At Omni-Man

Omni-Man Looks Stunning!

Mortal Kombat 1 has led to many exciting clashes since it was released last month. As part of the most popular fighting game franchise, it was always expected to perform well, highlighted by its second position on Steam best-sellers before release.

NetherRealm Studios also revealed the game’s first Kombat Pack before release, confirming Omni-Man and Homelander for the game. Nearly a month after the game launched, the studio has provided a new look at the first DLC character.

Omni-Man is brutal, and he has arrived in Mortal Kombat 1 with a brand-new trailer.

Why it matters: Invincible is one of the most famous modern superhero TV Shows, so many fans have been excited to play as Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1.

NetherRealm Studios confirmed Omni-Man would offer a distinct playstyle compared to Homelander, and the first trailer reveals a small part of his arsenal.

Omni-Man is focused on brute strength, using his super strength to overcome some of the strongest Mortal Kombat characters. The gameplay also shows abilities like flight and super speed.

Overall, the character appears fairly basic in terms of gameplay, but his fatalities are extremely gory, living up to his brutal kills from the TV Show. We’re all for brutal fatalities in Mortal Kombat, especially when they fit within the context of the character.

Omni-Man clearly isn’t fond of holding back, and NetherRealm Studios has done an excellent job staying faithful to the source material, recreating many of the character’s best moments.

The model also looks extremely impressive, highlighting the time and care that was put into this guest character.

Omni-Man will join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster next month, followed by others like Homelanders and Ermac.

The character will be available on all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch. This version of the game, in particular, has received a lot of criticism recently, but Ed Boon has confirmed fixes are on the way for the handheld Mortal Kombat port.
