AMD Ryzen 5 7500F Is The First Zen 4 CPU Without RDNA2 iGPU

Expected To Launch For $219!

A new Zen 4 processor was recently spotted on Puget Systems benchmark database, which might start a new segment in the budget lineup for the new AM5 platform.

According to the database, this new Zen 4 processor is known as AMD Ryzen 5 7500F.

Ryzen 5 7500F

Not a lot of details have been shared yet. However,  the listing states that the Ryzen 5 7500F, just like its predecessor, will feature a total of 6 cores and 12 threads. Aside from that, the Ryzen 5 7500F will feature a boost frequency of 5.0 GHz.

With the launch of new Zen 4 processors, AMD went in a different direction and started to include integrated graphics. This differed from previous Zen processors, which did not come with integrated graphics and needed a dedicated graphics card to work properly.

However, it looks like AMD is returning to this approach with the new F series, which is similar to Intel’s F series without integrated graphics.

The cheapest Zen 4 processor in the market is currently the Ryzen 5 7600, which retails for $230 or lower, depending on the market. With the new CPU, AMD might be looking to target the sub $200 market and compete with the Intel i5 13400F.

Since the launch of the first Ryzen lineup, AMD has been known for its competitive pricing strategy and the longevity of its platform. But AMD fans were disappointed to see a hike in price with Zen 4 compared to the last generation.

Furthermore, expensive boards and memory did little to make it easier for users to switch to the new platform. The launch of processors like Ryzen 5 7500F and other F series from AMD might help bring back the value that the Ryzen lineup once offered compared to the competition.
