Apple Is Blocking Impression Videos For Vision Pro Headset

Don't Cover The Vision Pro Headset!

Apple recently revealed an impressive piece of technology, the Vision Pro virtual, mixed-reality headset. With impressive specifications and many promises for the future, audiences have found themselves interested in the headset.

However, its price has led to controversy among general audiences. The Vision Pro headset starts at $3500, making it an impossible sell for the average consumer. This has also led to a few harsh reactions, but this may not be a problem for Apple.

Various YouTubers have claimed that Apple is striking videos covering the Vision Pro headset.

Why it matters: Apple has shown great ambitions with the Vision Pro, and this has encouraged many casual consumers to learn more about the product. However, strict copyright laws could be detrimental to the headset’s coverage on these platforms.

It should be noted that Apple Vision Pro is not aimed at the general consumer. The price and limited use case mean that it is meant for developers and enthusiasts looking to try a technology at its early stages.

Therefore, Apple has selected media personalities for specific coverage, but this should not mean audiences cannot cover the product. According to YouTuber Angry Joe, Apple has blocked his video containing impressions of the headset.

Angry Joe is not the only YouTuber going through these issues. Luke Stephens also received a copyright strike on his impressions.

Another popular VR content creator, PSVR2 Without Parole, reported a similar issue, expressing disappointment over Apple’s policy.

Apple appears to be extremely strict with coverage for the Vision Pro. Therefore, creators like Angry Joe and PSVR2 Without Parole have resorted to strict editing in order to ensure the content does not go against Apple’s copyright policy.

Following his video’s copyright strike, Angry Joe was able to upload the video after three attempts with various editing tricks. Still, it is disappointing to see the company blocking coverage of a product that is the current talk of the town.
