Spider-Man 2: Venom Voice Actor Claims September Release

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was confirmed for a Fall 2023 release window last year. Since then, Insomniac Games and PlayStation have remained silent about the game, with more information expected closer to the release window.

While no new information has been revealed, Tony Todd, the voice actor for Venom, appears to be teasing a September release date for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

The voice actor recently posted a Tweet about one of his mocap sessions. A fan replied with a GIF featuring Venom, which caught Tony Todd’s attention. Not only did he reveal the September release window, but he stated that marketing for the game will go into full swing one month before launch.

Insomniac’s first Spider-Man game was also released in September 2018. However, the developer had already showcased several minutes of gameplay years before the game launched.

This has not been the case with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Fans have only seen a short teaser from 2021 so far, but this is expected to change soon. Reports have pointed to a PlayStation showcase before E3, and the web-slinger will likely make an appearance at the showcase.

Insomniac Games also teased a new dialogue technology for the game recently. The exact details of this technology are currently unknown, but this could be just one part of the many innovations the developer brings to the game.

Both Spider-Man games from Insomniac have become popular within the gaming industry. As such, fans have a lot of expectations for the next title.

With brand new hardware, both main characters returning, and Spider-Man’s most iconic villain joining the franchise, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is shaping up to be an exciting release that has the potential to become the best superhero game of all time.
