Just $50 Cheaper Than RTX 4070 Ti

According to the reliable source, Moore’s Law is Dead, Nvidia’s next 40 series card will launch at a higher price than expected. The much-awaited GeForce RTX 4070 is rumored to be priced at an MSRP of $749. Furthermore, Nvidia is expected to have two different review dates for the GeForce RTX 4070.

The review embargo on the GeForce RTX 4070 will depend on the model’s price. The Founders Edition model of the GeForce RTX 4070 that will be priced at MSRP is expected to launch on the 12th of April, while the custom models with $799 MSRP will be available the day after on the 13th of April, 2023.

The price of the reference model of the GeForce RTX 4070 is much higher than it was previously expected and will be just $50 cheaper than the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.

On the other hand, the custom variants are expected to cost as much as the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, with a price tag of $799.

The GeForce RTX 4070 is based on the same AD104 GU currently used on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. The only difference between the two models is fewer streaming processors at 46 SM with 5,888 CUDA cores compared to 7680 on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. Aside from that, the GeForce RTX 4070 will come equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6X memory running at 21 Gbps on a 192-bit memory interface, with a total rated board power of 200W.

There are no performance numbers for the upcoming GeForce RTX 4070, though the card’s performance is expected to be somewhere between the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3080 12GB. The GeForce RTX 4070 will be available for sale on the 13th of April, 2023.
