VR Mode Is Confirmed!

The horror franchise from Capcom is set to return in 2023 with Resident Evil 4 Remake. Built from the ground up, the upcoming remake brings the beloved game to life with all-new visuals and various improvements over the original release.

In addition to the plethora of exciting information about the game, Capcom has confirmed that the studio is also working on a VR experience for Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Capcom has also confirmed that VR mode will be free for PlayStation 5 owners, and users can access the mode as DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Previously, the franchise offered VR game modes for Resident Evil 7. This experience was considered among the best VR showcases of the time, and Capcom is also releasing Resident Evil Village for the PS VR2 today.

With the innovations in PS VR2 and Capcom’s experience with VR releases, Resident Evil 4 Remake could surpass previous VR releases from the developer. Still, fans must wait a while before the game is ready. However, Resident Evil 4 Remake should have plenty of content to offer till then.

Apart from the enhanced visuals, Resident Evil 4 Remake is also said to bring changes to the original story. Additionally, Capcom has mixed things up for the gameplay, removing aspects like the quick time events and adding side quests to the game.

The game releases next month on March 24 for consoles like the PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series S|X. While the anticipation for the game is already extremely high, the latest announcement about the future VR DLC should ensure that fans continue to look forward to more Resident Evil content in the future.
