No Signs of Player Data Being Stolen!

Riot games is an American video game developer that cemented its name in the gaming industry by releasing world-famous titles like Valorant and League Of Legends.

It now looks like the video game developer was the target of a hack recently, as Riot Games announced on their official Twitter account that they had been the target of a social engineering attack.

They added that they still didn’t have all the answers but wanted to speak with the players to let them know there was no sign that their data was stolen in the attack.

They continued the Twitter thread by saying that, unfortunately, the attack had a negative impact on their ability to release content, and many game updates have been impacted. They added that they were working diligently to find a solution.

League of Legends’ official Twitter account also tweeted that the attack might affect their delivery timetable for Patch 13.2, and elements like the Ahri ASU might be moved to patch 13.3, which is scheduled for February 8.

Just a few days after the shocking report that Riot Games had begun laying off staff members, possibly due to recent financial difficulties, we learned that they had been hacked. It seems like Riot Games has been in a tough spot recently.

We’re hoping the problems get resolved swiftly and Riot Games bounces back from the attack shortly. This is the limited information we have for now, but we will be looking for more news regarding Riot Games in the future.
