Silent Hill: Konami Wants More Indie Studios To Propose Ideas For New Games

The Future Of The Silent Hill Series Depends On This!

In 2022, we saw the return of the Silent Hill franchise as Konami introduced several new games for this franchise. This announcement took the internet by storm, and many fans are patiently waiting for the return of the Silent Hill Series.

Some games currently in development include a remake of Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill Townfall. The most anticipated one among these is the remake of Silent Hill 2, as some screenshots were leaked. However, there might be some issues with the future of the Silent Hill franchise, as Konami wants indie studios to pitch new ideas for Silent Games.

During an interview with IGN, Motoi Okamoto, the series producer, explained after he was asked about October’s Silent Hill reveal stream that Konami is open to Silent Hil pitches from the game studios.

He said:

“we need to work with lots of different indie creators if we want to make lots of different Silent Hills,

that’s why we made moves to work together with people around the world who want to make Silent Hill games and approached Bloober Team”

He furthermore explained that the announced games didn’t mark the end of Silent Hill games and that they are now accepting pitches from other studios. Perhaps they might reveal some info on Silent Hill Short Message, which wasn’t announced previously.

Some Konami projects never got off the ground, and according to Okamoto, the number of projects will continue to grow. After that, he clearly said that those who love Silent Hill bring us their pitches as he promised to look through every one of them.

The future of the Silent Hill franchise and the other upcoming projects from Konami depends on how many pitches Konami can get. It might also be worth noticing that a while ago, Virtuos Games listed Konami as a client, which hints towards a possible remake of metal gear 3.

For Konami, this doesn’t seem like a big hurdle to cross as its reputation is quite good, and many fans worldwide anticipate the series’ return. Many remarkable Indie studios will likely bring their pitches to Konami.

No release date is given for any of the announced games, but the release date reveal is not coming anytime soon.
