Redfall Does Not Include A Disc For Xbox Physical Copies

No Disc With The Physical Copy!

Update:-

Bethesda Support has confirmed that there was an error in the information posted about Redfall on the FAQ page. The physical edition of the game on Xbox includes a Blu-Ray disc.

Original Story:-

With the increasing popularity of digital media, the gaming industry has shifted focus from physical game copies. While physical games are sold for nearly every modern release, many gamers prefer to purchase their games digitally.

Recently, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 disc did not come with the entire game. Physical game owners were required to download the whole game, and the disc only served as a license.

Many physical owners were unhappy with this decision, and it looks like Bethesda’s Redfall is taking a similar approach. According to Bethesda, physical copies of Redfall will not come with a disc

Redfall will allow players to download the game through a code provided in the physical copy. Since Microsoft supports Xbox Play Anywhere, the game can be played on Xbox Series S|X consoles and PC.

Recently, Redfall was criticized for requiring an active internet connection at all times. Since the game does not need to be played in co-op, many fans were disappointed by this restriction.

Needing an internet connection means that game preservation is much more challenging. This restriction, combined with no discs for Redfall, means that fans cannot enjoy the game if Bethesda and Microsoft decide to shut down servers at some point.

Furthermore, users who may not have the best internet connection might face difficulties with Redfall. New game releases have become extremely large in terms of file sizes, so users will be required to have a suitable internet connection for the download.

While recent information about the game has been disappointing for some, new gameplay is also set to be revealed this week. Redfall hits Xbox Series S|X and PC on May 2, marking the latest release from Arkane Studios.
