PlayStation Showcase With Major Reveals Expected This Month

Fingers Crossed For Better Showcase Than Last Year's!

Story Highlights
  • Multiple leakers have suggested a PlayStation event is coming this month.
  • They are teasing exciting reveals and major games for the event.
  • Sony is expected to announce the event soon.

Reports of a PlayStation event this month first surfaced when famous insider Jeff Grubb talked about upcoming information on Silent Hill 2 Remake during his podcast. Now, another reliable insider has corroborated the rumor that a show is happening in May.

Why it matters: PlayStation’s events are quite popular amongst the masses. Even last year, it was the most-watched gaming event. This year promises more exciting announcements and reveals.

Leaker Nick Baker believes Grubb’s sources are accurate, and a Sony event is coming up later this month. He already seems to be aware of a few of the games that will be presented at the showcase.

One common thing across both leaks is that neither insider has been able to verify whether PlayStation will host a State of Play or a major showcase. We believe the latter is much more likely since the gaming giant’s future first-party lineup has not been revealed.

Moreover, it held a huge showcase at the same time last year. As for the games, Silent Hill 2 Remake is expected to be a major focus. The likes of Ghost of Tsushima 2, Death Stranding 2, and more could also show up.

Nick Baker suggests the event will be an exciting one. We might see a full list of leaked games coming later since the same leaker practically revealed PlayStation’s entire State of Play from February.

Meanwhile, Xbox has confirmed a showcase of its own for 9 June.

Therefore, with PlayStation expected to hold an event and the likes of Xbox, Ubisoft, and Summer Game Fest to follow, gaming season is soon to be in full swing, with plenty of reveals and exciting trailers.
