Nvidia’s latest generation of graphics cards features some of the most advanced gaming technologies to date. While the GeForce RTX 40 series cards have been on the market for a while, recent rumors have pointed to a Super refresh for the series.
According to leaker Kopite7kimi, the RTX 40 Super cards will be released in early January. While this is yet to be confirmed, Nvidia has just announced a presentation for CES 2024.
Why it matters: Nvidia is known to use such events for important announcements. With rumors of new Super graphics cards, it seems likely that an official announcement will be made at CES 2024.
CES 2024 will kick off on 9 January 2024. Since leaks claimed that the GeForce RTX 40 Super lineup would be released in January, this announcement appears to line up with previous information.
However, since three Super graphics cards are rumored, it remains to be seen if all three will be launched at the same time. Other aspects like pricing and specifications are also yet to be confirmed.
Regardless, Nvidia will likely tease more information leading up to CES 2024. Last year, during CES 2023, Nvidia showed the RTX 40 Series cards for laptops for the first time, along with the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.
Therefore, a similarly exciting reveal is expected for CES 2024. According to current rumors, the Super lineup consists of the GeForce RTX 4080 Super, 4070 Super, and 4070 Ti Super.
These variants are expected to offer more performance, addressing the limited VRAM and poor prices of the current lineup. Fortunately, power consumption is expected to be maintained across the board for the most part.
It remains to be seen if AMD will also be present with a few graphics cards of its own. Recent rumors claimed that the company plans to offer the Radeon RX 7600 XT with more VRAM.
Therefore, it will be interesting to see the new products from both companies at CES 2024.
