Mad Max From Kojima Would Be Incredible!

Story Highlights
  • Mad Max director George Miller wants Hideo Kojima to work on a game adaptation for the franchise.
  • The director admits he won’t ask Kojima because his head is already full of great ideas.
  • Both Kojima and Miller attended the premier of the latest movie in the franchise, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

The latest installment in the franchise, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, received some great reviews from the critics. Amidst the Red Carpet for the movie, director George Miller stated he wants someone like Hideo Kojima to work on a game adaption for Mad Max.

Why it matters; Mad Max has a very rich world full of great stories to explore. We saw some of that with 2015’s Mad Max game, but Miller wants to do much better and hopes a visionary director takes on the project in the future.

George Miller says 2015’s Mad Max game wasn’t as good as he expected.

Talking to Gamingbible on the Red Carpet, Miller revealed that the Mad Max game wasn’t as good as he hoped it would be. He said that his ideology is not to do something unless he can do it at the highest level.

However, he’s open to someone legendary like Hideo Kojima working on the adaptation in the future.

I’ve been speaking to Kojima here. He would take it on.

Miller went on to further praise Kojima’s creativity but admitted he’d never ask him because he has ‘so much fantastic stuff in his own head.’ However, the idea is there, and the director would love for it to be implemented.

Of course, this could very much be possible based on the current circumstances. Hideo Kojima even attended the premiere of the latest film, so both legendary personalities could collaborate on something in the future.

Despite his divisive games, Kojima is legendary in the video game industry since Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding are great examples of his work.

Combining the great mind of Kojima with the skills of Miller could ultimately create a masterpiece. However, Hideo Kojima is currently busy with Death Stranding 2, slated for release in 2025.
