AMD has been rumoured to abandon high-end Radeon gaming GPUs for a while to focus more on mid-tier and budget gamers and to scale in the market.

AMD RDNA 4 Will Offer Competitive Mid-Range Options

During a recent interview with Toms Hardware, Jack Hunyh, a senior VP and member of the AMD leadership team finally talked about the ongoing rumours of the company ditching high-end GPUs.

He stated that the company wants to scale, and AMD is at different places right now, trying new things and wants to get the company to 40 to 50% of the market faster. He further stated that he doesn’t want to go after the 10% of the total addressable market but would instead go after the 80%.

I’m an 80% kind of guy because I don’t want AMD to be the company that only people who can afford Porsches and Ferraris can buy.
