While most people on the thread are clearly not too fond of this idea, certain users suggested that this move would lead to a more healthy player base for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Since 343 Industries no longer supports these remasters, a PS5 release could even encourage the team to return and offer new updates for those who prefer the classic Halo experience.
While all signs point to the Master Chief eventually landing on PlayStation, it’s still too early to say anything. 343 Industries is said to be working on the next mainline entry, so plans are unlikely to be set in stone this early.
However, the next major Xbox releases on the PS5 could be the deciding factor. These include Black Ops 6, Indiana Jones, and more.
