Meanwhile The Devs Will Continue Supporting Space Marine 2!

Story Highlight
  • Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 3 has been officially announced.
  • Focus Entertainment is once again partnering with Saber for the release.
  • The last game was very well-received and earned great revenue for the company.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 was a breakout title of last year. The franchise already had a loyal fan base, but the title helped it reach the masses. Capitalizing on the success, the developers have already announced that a sequel is in development.

Focus Entertainment has revealed that they are once again teaming up with Saber Interactive to develop Warhammer 40: Space Marine 3, a direct sequel to the last game.

Why it matters: Space Marine 2 helped its publisher earn a whopping $217 Million in sales in Q2 2024, marking 4 times the profit compared to the previous year.

Not much has been revealed about the title except that Titus is set to return. This means that Space Marine 3 will be a continuation of the last game. The plans for a sequel and DLC for Space Marine 2 were already revealed last year.

We’re pleased to announce that the development for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine III has officially begun at Focus Entertainment, Saber Interactive and Games Workshop

The press release further states that the developers are overwhelmed by the response to the last game and will continue to support it. Meanwhile, they will also start working on the sequel, which will bring innovations.

Fans of the franchise will be glad to learn this new development. Space Marine 2 was a great throwback to the simpler era of gaming, which helped it resonate well with the audience, so we expect more of the same.
