- Multiple insiders have confirmed that Titanfall 3 will launch in 2026.
- An official announcement is expected at the TGA 2025.
- EA also plans to release Apex Legends 2.0 around next year.
Titanfall is arguably the franchise that elevated Respawn Entertainment to one of EA’s biggest first-party studios. However, nearly a decade has passed since the studio last revisited the IP, leading many fans to lose hope for a new entry.
A threequel may finally be on the horizon, as reliable insiders have confirmed that Titanfall 3 is real and will be released sometime in 2026.
Why it matters: With the FPS genre so stale, Titanfall 3 will be a great addition and compete with heavy hitters like Call of Duty and the next Battlefield game, which will be released soon.
The leaker previously mentioned a secret Respawn game in development back in 2024 but was unsure if it was a Titanfall title. However, a secondary leaker has confirmed that the title was indeed Titanfall 3.
An announcement is expected at the TGA 2025 followed by a release in the next year.
It remains unclear how Titanfall 3 will co-exist with Apex Legends since both titles exist in the same universe. Moreover, Apex Legends was the main reason EA hesitated to revisit the Titanfall franchise, fearing it would split the player base between both games.
However, with Apex Legends’ fanbase declining, EA has confirmed the release of Apex Legends 2.0, which is more of an update for the base game.
The 2.0 update might transition Apex Legends into Titanfall 3. However, anything is just mere speculation at this point.
Anyhow, Respawn is bound to revisit the Titanfall franchise sooner or later—but sooner would undoubtedly be the better choice.
