The gaming community has always adored the Tekken series, and fans of the franchise are always awaiting the next installment. Tekken 8, the eighth main installment in the series, is eagerly anticipated by fans. The buzz around it has been insane, and this is because the series’ last mainline game came out almost seven years ago.
Many details of Tekken 8 are still unknown. Still, we may finally be aware of the game’s release date after Tekken 8’s director, Katsuhiro Harada, recently pointed toward the game being released in early 2024.
Katsuhiro Harada revealed at the Tekken World Tour 2022 that at the end of March/beginning of April, we have the upcoming EVO Japan, for which Tekken 7 has been announced, further adding that it would be “cool” if we could maybe do a tour from then and sort of lead into Tekken 8, which would fall somewhere in early 2024.
For those not quite catching it, sounds like #TEKKEN8 will release "early 2024" (barring any delays), just in time for TWT 2024.

According to Katsuhiro Harada, this is the best-case scenario, so if there were any development issues in the future, it could push the game’s release date back. Nevertheless, we are due a fair amount of wait for Tekken 8.
Additionally, everything about Tekken 8 has so far looked quite spectacular. Both the trailers did an outstanding job and revealed things like Jun Kazama’s return after 27 years since she last appeared in a mainline Tekken game.
All of this makes us very excited about Tekken 8, and we look forward to seeing how it turns out. This is all the current information, but we’ll keep an eye out for other Tekken 8 news as it becomes available.
On that note, what do you think about an early 2024 release date for Tekken 8? Let us know in the comments section.
