30-50 Hours For 100% Completion!

Story Highlights
  • The Stellar Blade story will require 25 hours to beat.
  • Completionists will need anywhere from 30 to 50 hours to see everything in the game.
  • This suggests there will be plenty of exploration, side content, and more.

Stellar Blade blew everyone away with its fantastic gameplay overview at the recent State of Play. With the launch nearing, the developers are shedding more light on the title, and now we know how long the Stellar Blade story will last.

Talking to Ruliweb, Shift Up’s general director, Kim Hyeong-tae, stated that the main story will take around 25 hours to complete.

Why it matters: Stellar Blade is Shift Up’s first major project, and it will be priced at $70. Therefore, the game will offer plenty of content to meet this new price of AAA releases.

Stellar Blade Features Semi-Open World Environments

For those willing to explore every nook and cranny, Stellar Blade will offer twice as much playtime. Completionists can expect around 30 to 50 hours of gameplay.

The game combines both linear and semi-open world levels. These will offer enough variety to keep gamers engaged in the main story, while the latter will open up exploration opportunities and side activities.

Customization options will also add to the overall charm of Stellar Blade. The studio confirms protagonist Eve has 20-30 unlockable outfits. Companions Adam and Lily will come with their own set of customers as well.

Shift Up seems to have poured their heart and soul into this title. The studio explained that Stellar Blade was delayed for further polish and optimization before launch. In the same interview, the team stated that they went for PS5 exclusivity, as it offered a more optimal experience.

The 50 hours of playtime suggests there will be a lot to do in Stellar Blade. The developers have highlighted the boss fights in particular. They will strongly revolve around evading and parrying but will be different enough not to make them feel like Souls-like battles.

Overall, from what we’ve seen so far, the visuals, combat, and soundtrack seem brilliant with Stellar Blade. The game will be released on April 26, 2024, to some quite high expectations from the fans, and we hope to see it meeting them on launch day.
