As Sony Interactive Entertainment is publishing the title, it is supposed to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive.

Reports also suggested that the studio behind Stellar Blade has become a second-party team for PlayStation. So, it will be interesting to see if it launches on other platforms later.

The new State of Play trailer gives us another detailed look at the game. Stellar Blade is set in a not-too-distant future Earth where players assume the role of Eve. The combat, along with the visuals, look amazing, with deep character interactions and a rich story.

The boss fights are also something that stands out from the trailer. Melee combat seems to be the main focus. Overall, it is quite reminiscent of Devil May Cry in terms of combat. The game also reminds us of Bayonetta to some extent. And this in itself is praise for the title.

Stellar Blade is looking to be an exceptional addition to the catalog of games coming to the PlayStation 5 this year. It will join a list comprising titles like Rise of Ronin, Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, and more.
