Starfield 2 Will Address Everything Players Criticized!

Story Highlight
  • A Bethesda developer has admitted that Starfield had flaws, claiming that the sequel can be “one hell of a game.”
  • The dev clarified that most popular franchises have also seen more success in their second or third releases.
  • Bethesda is willing to include many of the requested features and improve upon the blank state in the next Starfield game.

Starfield was a bit of a hit-and-miss for everyone. While the general universe was quite fun to explore, many of its mechanics were tied together behind several loading screens. Therefore, the entry received a lot of criticism over its controversial gameplay elements. However, a Bethesda developer now thinks Starfield 2 will be much better in every aspect.

Designer Bruce Nesmith has now claimed that Starfield 2 will be “one hell of a game.” The dev thinks that most popular franchises also saw more success in their second or third releases because they already had a blank slate to work on.

Why it matters: The positive outlook for Starfield 2 suggests that Bethesda is willing to learn and grow from the first title’s hiccups.

Starfield
Starfield has many great features tied together incoherently.

In an interview with Video Gamer, Bruce Nesmith said that Starfield 2 will address many of the fans’ criticisms and include many missing features. He indirectly admitted Starfield’s faults and noted that it would be a baseline for the next game to make development easier.

I’m looking forward to Starfield 2. I think it’s going to be one hell of a game because it’s going to address a lot of the things people are saying.

For those not in the know, even the Shattered Space DLC for Starfield launched to a negative reception. However, devs were quick to defend the game, claiming that it rivaled Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

Starfield
Starfield 2 could address all players’ concerns with the first entry.

While many are excited about the Starfield sequel, others think this was just PR talk by Bethesda. How do you believe Starfield 2 will hold up in the space-faring genre? Do let us know your opinions in the comments below, or join the discussion on the official Tech4Gamers forum.
