Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Saw 30% Higher Launch Sales Than Its Predecessor In UK

Already Surpassing Jedi Fallen Order!

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor became controversial due to technical issues at launch and saw many negative reviews on Steam. While critical reviews were positive, general audiences were less pleased with the launch state.

However, the game has been far from a failure, as it managed to achieve 30% higher launch sales than Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in the UK.

Why it matters: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor did not have a great start due to technical problems. The game dropped even dropped below 720p on PS5 and saw a number of negative reviews on Metacritic.

The previous game was already a huge success. With over 10 million copies sold in less than a year, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order exceeded the developers’ expectations in nearly every way.

As such, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor could turn out to be an even bigger success. The game improves in various aspects compared to its predecessor, but technical issues currently hold it back.

Currently, the title needs fixes for issues like framerates, animations, and dialogue bugs. These changes could bring even more attention to the game.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor also saw a much larger share of digital sales in the UK at launch. However, this may have more to do with the increasing popularity of digital media.

Following an apology from EA, the developers are currently working on patches for the game, with fixes planned for both consoles and PC in order to address the multiple known issues.
