Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake To Be Allegedly Revealed At PlayStation Showcase

Going To Be A PlayStation Exclusive?

Over the past year, multiple sources and leaks claimed Konami is working on a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake. However, a new leak by an insider may have confirmed the game’s reveal soon.

During the recent XboxEra podcast, Nick Baker said that one of his sources claimed that Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake might be revealed at the upcoming PlayStation showcase. He also mentioned that the game may have some sort of exclusivity deal attached to it.

Why It Matters: Metal Gear Solid is one of the most famous stealth franchises in the world. Despite the franchise’s popularity, the series has not had a new main entry since 2015. A remake would certainly perform well for old and newer fans alike.

Nick Baker said:

“Another game I heard that might be at the PlayStation showcase is the rumored Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, and might also have some sort of exclusivity.”

Jez Corden, another industry insider, also added that his sources heard something similar about this report which may add further credibility to the leak.

The PlayStation Showcase is reportedly taking place before June 8, so fans will not have to wait too long to learn more about Metal Gear Solid’s long-awaited return. However, this should all be taken with a grain of salt until official confirmation is made.

The initial rumors of the game started in late 2022, when Virtuos Games listed Konami as a client, implying that they might be developing the remake. Another source stated that the game will be released in 2024, with a marketing plan for the now-canceled E3.
