Stalker 2 Could Be Huge For Game Pass This Year!

Story Highlight
  • Several major games have already been announced for Xbox Game Pass.
  • The latest data suggests that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is the most anticipated game on this list.
  • Ark 2 and Hollow Knight Silksong are also in the top 3.

Stalker 2 has a huge wave of anticipation behind it. The game has firmly established itself as one of Steam’s most wishlisted releases, but it seems Xbox Game Pass users are just as interested in the release.

Data suggests that Stalker 2 is the most anticipated launch of Game Pass in 2024.

Why it matters: This franchise has not received a new entry in many years. Fans were expected to have lost interest as a result, but it seems this delay has only had the opposite impact.

Twitter user Baiisun recently spent a great amount of time collecting these numbers through Google Trends. The user compared popularly searched terms with a game’s searches on Google and YouTube to reach an average statistic.

This led to approximate results that put Stalker 2 on the top. It is also important to note that the data reflects searches between January and March in 2024, so the rankings could change by the end of the year.

Following are the most anticipated releases according to the research:

  • Stalker 2
  • ARK 2
  • Hollow Knight Silksong
  • THE Elder Scrolls 6
  • Manor Lords
  • Hellblade 2

The top three games all finished quite close, with small differences in the rankings. However, major 2024 releases from Xbox, like Hellblade 2 and Indiana Jones, landed surprisingly low on this list.

The user states that such games saw a major spike in interest once their trailers launched, but fans eventually lost interest.

A game like Fallout 5 also made it to the list, so not everything fans are anticipating has been officially announced. However, this may have been a result of interest in the IP’s recent TV show adaptation that led to a similar boost for older games like Fallout 4.

Following multiple delays, Stalker 2 is finally set to be released on 5 September, and just like everyone, we can’t wait to play. The game looks like one of the best single-player shooters in recent years, so it will be worth watching out for.
