Stalker 2 Reportedly Set To Release On December 1, 2023

Also Releasing Day One On Game Pass!

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been in the works for a while, with a promise of a day-one Game Pass release. However, the developers have recently faced a series of threats from hackers.

These threats and attacks culminated in a massive 200GB leak, leading to concerns about the game meeting its 2023 release target. While a release date has not been announced, a leak suggests that Stalker 2 will be available on December 1, 2023.

Why it matters: The Stalker franchise has been popular for its thrilling survival gameplay. Fans of the series have waited over a decade for a new game, and the latest title is shaping up to be a worthy entry in the IP.

As reported by Andrew Marmo, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been listed on the Koch Media Store with a December 1 release date.

While this may seem like a placeholder date, the user clarifies that placeholder dates on the store are set to December 31. This suggests that the game is likely to arrive in early December.

Recently, Xbox confirmed that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl would be featured at Gamescom 2023. Unlike many other games at the event, GSC Game World is bringing a playable demo for its FPS title.

This announcement led many to believe that the game’s development was nearing completion. With the studio gearing up to allow hands-on time with Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, GSC Game World is likely confident in the current build.

Gamescom is among the biggest and most iconic events in the gaming industry. Therefore, the studio could use this opportunity to make an official announcement for the release date.

Previous footage and screenshots of the game have already looked impressive, with Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl shaping up to be a showcase for the Xbox Series S|X consoles and the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5.

The latest build is expected to look even better, leading to plenty of excitement and anticipation from fans of FPS games and the Stalker franchise. If the alleged release date is accurate, the latest Stalker title could become yet another exceptional game released in 2023.
