The PC gaming industry is going through a very exciting phase. All sorts of next-generation products are right around the corner, from processors to graphics cards. Nvidia RTX 4000 series based on Ada Lovelace architecture is shaping to be an impressive improvement over Ampere products, and past releases have suggested a September launch for the graphics card.
A new document has been spotted by leaker harukaze on Baidu. This document seems to hint at Nvidia’s flagship Ada Lovelace GPU. According to the production schedule document, the GeForce RTX 4090 is already in production.
The leak indicates that Nvidia has already begun production on Ada Lovelace graphics cards. It was already known that Nvidia had ordered a large number of chips through TSMC as a result of expected demands. However, this new leak takes things one step further.
As stated earlier, a September release for Ada Lovelace has been rumored for a while. Nvidia could have started production on these graphics cards for review samples. Reviewers usually get products well before launch to ensure that content is ready to go as soon as the embargo is lifted.
Moreover, Nvidia has also restarted the production of GeForce RTX 3080 12GB graphics cards. This was likely done to clear stock before the next generation launch, and the new schedule seems to hint that the next generation products are coming very soon.
The demand for graphics cards is currently at an all-time low. Chinese miners are selling GeForce RTX 3070s for as low as $420. Nvidia might have realized that the following generation announcement could bring back some of the recently lost hype.
The Twitter user also seems to confirm that the RTX 4090 will ship with 24 GB of Vram, much like its predecessor. Ada Lovelace being in pre-production could mean that the GeForce RTX 40xx GPUs are nearly ready to launch. While a September launch is expected, Nvidia might go for October to ensure older Ampere cards are sold out before the launch of Ada Lovelace.
