Who Remembers Lady Dimitrescu?

Resident Evil Village is undoubtedly one of the most popular of the series, and it was a critical success for the studio. It was released two years ago on this day and did a great job of continuing the story of Ethan Winters.

Why it matters: Resident Evil Village came after the success of Resident Evil 7. The latter game marked a shift for the franchise, and many were glad to see that Capcom continued to improve this formula.

Resident Evil 8

Following up on Resident Evil 7, the game carries a dark vibe that complements the horror setting. As players progress through the game, it gets more tense and delivers some of the best horror atmosphere in the franchise.

Resident Evil Village includes the first-person combat from the previous game. With various weapons, fans had no shortage of options to deal with the monsters found in this horror adventure.

It also joined iconic games like Resident Evil 4 to become one of the best-sellers from Capcom. As of 2023, the game has already sold over 7 million copies.

Among the new characters introduced in Resident Evil Village, Lady Dimitrescu also became very popular. While she was supposed to be a giant, scary lady, fans were quick to make various memes about the character.

Despite its positives, the game received some criticism for not living up to the horror atmosphere found in Resident Evil 7.

Nonetheless, Resident Evil Village was a great experience for many. For those who have not tried the title yet, it can now be found for cheap on sales and is currently 50% off on Steam.
