Every month, PlayStation reveals its most downloaded games for its consoles from the PlayStation Network. The company recently revealed the most downloaded games of March 2023.

Resident Evil 4 Remake was the most downloaded PlayStation 5 game in the EU and US/Canada in March. This was followed by MLB The Show 23 in US/Canada and Hogwarts Legacy in the EU.

Resident Evil 4 Remake was also the 5th most sold PlayStation 4 game in US/Canada. Meanwhile, it has enjoyed similar success on other platforms, staying in the best-selling Steam games.

The remake of the iconic Resident Evil 4 has proven quite successful for Capcom. Critics and fans alike praised the game. The game has already sold over 4 million units worldwide, beating various Resident Evil games.

However, this is not all for Resident Evil 4. The game recently received a free DLC called Mercenaries as part of a post-launch update. The DLC is a returning game mode from the 2005 original Resident Evil 4 and is now available for all users to play for free.

There have also been rumors regarding a Separate Ways DLC for Resident Evil 4, which will be a returning DLC from the original RE4.

Capcom also confirmed a VR version of the game is in development. The game’s sales are only expected to increase with the future discounts and content Capcom has planned.
