27 Million Pixel Resolution!

[Press Release] Pimax has officially begun shipping the Dream Air VR headset after completing global beta tests and public demonstrations in Los Angeles, San Jose, Düsseldorf, and at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The release follows months of refinements based on real user feedback.

During external testing, users evaluated comfort, stability, and visual performance. In response, Pimax reinforced the audio stems for durability, upgraded the face foam for longer sessions, and introduced new distortion profiles to improve image clarity.

A major upgrade includes premium Sony micro-OLED panels delivering 27 million pixels. This high resolution improves sharpness, contrast, and immersion while reducing visual artifacts. The headset also features ConcaveView pancake lenses, designed to maintain a compact form while offering one of the widest fields of view in its class.

The Dream Air includes a comprehensive tracking suite with eye, hand, and head tracking. Eye tracking supports performance optimization, while hand tracking enables more natural interaction in supported applications. A split cable design helps balance weight for better comfort during extended use.

The Lighthouse version is now shipping, with a SLAM version scheduled to follow. Pimax has also confirmed that the Dream Air SE model is entering production, built on the same core technology platform.

With upgraded optics, high-resolution Sony micro-OLED displays, advanced tracking, and comfort-focused refinements, the Pimax Dream Air positions itself as a premium VR headset built for immersive and long-session use.
