Nvidia Reportedly Pausing RTX 50 Series Supply For 6 Months

Expert Verified By

The Situation Is Getting Worse and Worse!

Story Highlight
  • Nvidia has reportedly halted supply for its latest RTX 50 series GPUs due to shortage.
  • The RTX 5060 will be affected the most, with its supply being completely nuked.
  • A massive 30% baseline price increase is expected across the board.

If you thought the GPU situation in the current market was messed up, it is set to get a whole lot worse. There were reports that Nvidia is killing off some of its GPUs, and that was confirmed based on RTX 5070 Ti prices, but it’s a lot more than that.

A new leak reveals that Nvidia is set pause RTX 50 series supply for the next 6 months. The RTX 5060 will be completely nuked, and because of their overbooked promises, all of Nvidia’s new GPUs will halt production until Q3 2026.

Why it matters: Getting your hands on the latest GPU, even beyond MSRP, has become difficult, so if Nvidia does pause supply, it means the prices will skyrocket even beyond the reported 10-15% increase.

Moore’s Law is Dead’s latest video goes into detail about the GPU crisis. He says that he’s made multiple inside calls and found out that the RTX 5090, 5070 Ti, 5060 Ti 16GB, and 5060’s supply will be paused for 6 months

The only cards you’ll be able to get will be the RTX 5080, 5070, and 5060 Ti 8GB, but even their supply will be largely limited. So, if you were in the market for an RTX 50 series card, expect very high prices if you find them in stock.

RTX 50 Series supply has been paused till Q3 2026

A recent report stated that 8GB GPUs will see a 10% increase in price, while 16GB will se 15% increase. However, Moore’s Law’s video states that we should be prepared for a 30% baseline price increase.

PC gaming is in its worst phase in years. After RAM and SSD, even HDD prices shot up. With GPUs seeing massive price increments too, budget or even upper-mid range gamers would be looking at a less-than-ideal situation.
