Prepare Your PC For Mortal Kombat!

Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest fighting game from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros Games. The first details, including the release date and announcement trailer, for the game were released just two days ago.

The title is scheduled to hit PC and consoles on September 19, and Mortal Kombat 1 is already available for pre-purchase on Steam and Epic Games Store. With the game being available for pre-purchase, the developer has also revealed the minimum and recommended specifications for PC.

Why it matters: Mortal Kombat 1 is the first title from NetherRealm Studios for current-gen consoles. As such, fans have been expecting a jump in PC requirements.

Since 8 GB VRAM for GPUs has been discussed a lot recently, Mortal Kombat 1 also recommends GPUs with at least 8 GB of VRAM. The developer suggests GPUs like the Intel Arc A770 (8GB/16GB) or the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT.

For NVIDIA owners, at least a GeForce GTX 1080 TI is recommended to play the game smoothly. The Mortal Kombat 1 minimum and recommended system requirements for PC are:

Minimum requirements

    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600 | AMD Ryzen 3 3100 or Ryzen 5 2600
    • Memory:  8GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 or AMD Radeon RX 470 or Intel Arc™ A750
    • DirectX:  Version 12
    • Storage:  100 GB of available space
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 11 64-bit
    • Processor: Intel Core™ i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
    • Memory:  8GB RAM
    • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or Intel Arc™ A770

Mortal Kombat 1 will be available in three different editions: Standard Edition, Premium Edition, and the Kollector’s Edition. However, only 2 of them will be available on Steam, and a recent leak appears to provide details on the characters included in the Premium Edition.
