Also Enhanced For The PS5 Pro!

Story Highlight
  • Metal Gear Solid Delta officially launches for PS5 and PC on August 28th, 2025.
  • A trailer for the game was also spotted on the official PSN store.
  • It seems that the reveal wasn’t planned until the rumoured PlayStation State of Play, which is expected sometime this month.

Update: The release date has now been removed from the official PSN store. As we speculated, this situation was probably an error from Sony’s end, potentially preparing for a later reveal. However, the trailer link still works, which mentions the game’s release date.

The original story follows...

Konami has been quiet regarding Metal Gear Solid Delta’s release, which was initially scheduled for 2024. The game was delayed, and the developer has not provided further updates.

However, the game’s release date was spotted on PSN alongside a trailer. Metal Gear Solid Delta officially releases on August 28, 2025.

Why it matters: Since its announcement, fans have patiently awaited a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3. They’ll be pleased to discover that the game will be released within just a few months.

The release date can be seen on the PSN store as of our checking.

Additionally, a trailer of the game is also available on the website, although it’s not easy to find, which suggests that the announcement wasn’t intended for now.

At the end of the trailer, Snake is seen fighting against Monkey, which was a popular mini-game of the original Metal Gear Solid 3 title. It’s exciting to see that, but it shouldn’t be surprising since Konami already confirmed that the title is a one-to-one remake, staying true to its roots.

Metal Gear Solid Delta is also releasing for PC on the same date and has an enhanced version for the PS5 Pro.

PlayStation reportedly has a State of Play planned for sometime in February, possibly on the 14th. If there’s a chance for the proper announcement, Sony will perhaps tell us about the Metal Gear Solid Delta then.
